Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Pacific Cooperative Studies Unit (PCSU), Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project (MNSRP), located on the islands of Maui Nui (Maui, Molokai and Lanai), Hawaii. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.

DUTIES: Designs and maintains MNSRP’s electronic tabular and spatial data systems related to seabird survey, inventory, and monitoring projects. Evaluates project success and participates in mission planning with other members of the management team, partners, and agency representatives. Develops geospatial models and performs quantitative and spatial analyses using statistical and geographic information system (GIS) software. Designs and prepares data summaries for reports on accomplishments for funders and partners and presents the results of data analysis at periodic community and professional meetings. Trains field staff in use of technical software, global positioning system (GPS) equipment, and data entry and retrieval. Administers overall computer network system. Participates in ground and aerial field operations. Supervises up to eight (8) field staff or volunteers in field activities. Participates in the management of MNSRP Field Biology Associates daily activities.
