Many of you might already be aware of the "spill" of PIB (polyisobutane) in the United Kingdom, which has caused the deaths of up to 3000 birds from guillemots to razorbills. PIB is a chemical used to lubricate ship engines. When ship engines are flushed, this chemical spreads into the ecosystem, and is totally legal.
