Dr Nina O'Hanlon

My main research interests are in seabird ecology and conservation with a particular focus on foraging ecology and anthropogenic pressure on species and habitats. I have a broad interest in all aspects of ornithology and ecology, and in communicating research in these areas to the wider world. My current project is reviewing the effects of plastic on seabirds in the North-East Atlantic. Previously, I spent four years looking at spatial variation in Herring gulls traits (movement, diet, eggs, breeding behaviours) across south-west Scotland and Northern Ireland.
