I studied Glaucous Gull diet in northern Alaska for my MSc, based at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, from 2007-2010. My field work was at Barrow, Prudhoe Bay, and points between. I examined pellets and food remains and analyzed stable isotopes of feathers to assess diet, and related diet composition to reproductive success at 10 small colonies. I'm currently working on a PhD at the University of Otago in New Zealand on genetic viability of small populations of threatened forest birds.
