Jagannath University, Bangladesh
I am an Assistant Professor of Zoology at Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am passionate about conducting ecological research and conservation of the nature and wildlife. Birds are my main interest. Currently I am trying to understand the winter ecology and habitat use of threatened Seabirds and Shorebirds in the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna delta (central coast) of Bangladesh to help make a better policy to manage and conserve the threatened Seabirds and Shorebirds. Indian Skimmer Rhynchops albicollis is my major interest and a Vulnerable species according to IUCN. World's largest congregation of the Indian Skimmer has been reported from the central coast of Bangladesh and that is how I started to work in the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna delta.
